Question: How do I import my business card contacts into Microsoft Outlook?

Answer: Microsoft Outlook is a business and personal email management tool and calendar software to help you stay in touch. Want to export your contacts into Outlook?

Here's how:

Step 1. First, you will need to download a CSV file of your business contacts. Log into your Shoeboxed account and click on Business Cards. From here, you can select the desired business cards, click the Export Selected option and your file will start to download.

Step 2. Use a text editor and delete the first 3 lines which will result in having the headers at the beginning of the file.

Step 3. In Outlook, click File and select Import and Export.

Step 4. Select Import from another program or file and click Next.

Step 5. Choose Comma Separated Values (Windows). Choose the file that you downloaded from Shoeboxed and click Next.

Step 6. Select the Contacts folder and click Next.

Step 7. Depending on your settings, you may need to adjust how Outlook maps the fields in the Shoeboxed export to its own fields, but it should work if you don’t adjust anything and just click Finish.
