What are the envelope codes that I see on my Envelope Tracking page?
Envelope codes are assigned to envelopes either when we receive them, or pre-assigned on our postage paid envelopes before we send them out to you. This code enables Shoeboxed to identify which envelopes belong to which users and to know with 100% certainly where an envelope is located in our operations facility for the duration of its processing. Before your envelopes are sent to you (on our Classic and Business plans), we associate an envelope code with your account, and wait for that envelope to come back. When it comes back, we know it belongs to you. For Lite users and people sending in receipts and business cards in their own envelopes, we assign envelope codes once they arrive. To view the receipts from a particular envelope, click the linked envelope code on your Envelope Tracking page.
