How does the search bar in my Shoeboxed account work?
When you are logged into your Shoeboxed account, there is a search bar in the upper right-hand corner. This tools searches the text that was extracted from your receipts, business cards, and other documents by our advanced Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. It also searches the fields that we manually enter from your documents. This can be extremely helpful for finding receipts by keywords that you know were printed on the receipt like “cheeseburger” or “Target.” The same applies for business cards: searching words like “Vice President” or “Steven” will likely return your cards that contain those words. The search feature is not always 100% accurate but will get better over time.
